In our latest digital adventure, we bend genre in this remake of Gotye's hit music video 'Somebody that I used to know', with Purcell’s (quite literally) chilling ‘What Power Art Thou’ from King Arthur. The result is an optical illusion where our singer, Dingle Yandell, becomes a part of the frosty background behind him.
Featuring OAE’s Rising Stars alumnus, bass-baritone Dingle Yandell, our film is the third in a series of visually captivating remakes of iconic pop videos with baroque arias, to celebrate the enduring power of music, whatever the age.
If music is good, it’s good regardless of its genre. Love Gotye. Love Purcell. Love Music.
